01 'College Village' first school-based enterprise in a professional college

'Gamsikcho, equals Kyongbuk Science College', it is not nationally famous in Korea. It is the result of establishing an attached food factory as a school-based enterprise, first in a professional college. The Bio-food department has become the Mecca for vinegar, succeeding the thousand-year secret of unique fermentation and its usage from the ancestors. Its matrix was the traditional food laboratory founded in 1995. By developing a 'university college' which is the family brand of the university, it has played the role of a tow truck for nation-wide reputation and distinction. The department has achieved 17 patent rights within and outside the country, and developed 60 items of traditional beverage and functional beverages.

With the GMP (up-to-date hygiene controlling manufacturing line) installed in 2006, the department produces more pleasant and healthy products.
The food factory of Kyongbuk Science College supplies CJ (Cheil Jedang) and Chongeundang, by manufacturing 'fat down' (diet beverage), 'spot' (golf beverage) and 'Thank you' (hang-over clearance beverage) as OEM (original equipment manufacturing), and is actively coping with research development requests that are aiming the piled know-how and techniques of our factory, and is also actively participating in exportations.

02 Traditional culture experiencing school, attached to Kyongbuk Science College

A museum was built in 2002 in order to provide cultural experiences of Korea, with the effort, skills and know-how of Kyongbuk Science College professor faculty members This traditional culture experiencing school (attached to Kyongbuk Science College) was established to define the identity of Korea and is composed of a cultural-experience exhibition room, Korean porcelain exhibition room, and 12 other exhibition rooms, as well as the outfield experiencing facility. The museum is filled with 2,000 relics and artifacts.
This traditional culture experiencing school (museum) is appraised by the visitors, mainly kindergarten students, working class and foreign tourists, with its diverse programs that help the visitors to learn the wisdoms hidden in our own culture and their values. Moreover, the museum proudly offers outstanding environmental conditions with its on-field research, practices and reservation classes provided.
60,000 people visit the traditional cultural experience school of Kyongbuk Science College every year, and the visitors are mainly in groups, ranging diversely from kindergarten children to foreign tourists.
